Ride ‘em Wordboy!
So last time, I got back on the horse. This time, I rode that pony!
So what’s up today? Well, I got at least 20 pages further along in the great read-through-and-edit that’s been going on for some time now, and that had become a surrogate for real progress for a long time. But more importantly, I got the first pass of the new integrated combat system in place, as well as integrated the work I’d done on the Minion / Monster / Villain trichotomy. Phew. It was hours of work and I felt good after it was done.
The game is lacking many examples at this point, because so many examples were invalidated by new, better rules. That’s a hard thing to face, but not as hard as the Don Music feeling I had for so long – “Oh I’ll never get it! Never!” <bangs head against piano>
I also got a few suggestions to help pick Motives that I came up with a few weeks ago transferred from their Hello Kitty sticky note (thanks sweetie!) into the ruleset. That’s an improvement. Even though it is lower in Hello Kittyness.
I have 10 pages left in the great read-through-and-edit, and then the rules will go to my super-secret-hand-picked-nit-picking team again. Maybe you guys would like to write some examples? No? Can’t blame me for asking.

@Jona & @Zach – I will happily take your examples! Bring those bad boys on! You will note the places (when you get your copies) where I wrote pithy things like “example needed” or “example obsolete” or “F*&($(*&#$! example f#$(*&% required”. Please feel free to put examples there. Or Journey songs. Whatever.
