The Name Game
As most readers know, I’m trying to find just the right name to call this game. I’ve been through several options and even one round of opinion polling – though I prefer to call it crowdsourcing so I can sound tremendously hip. The options have changed, several times, and now I’m down to what I swear are the final two condenders.
The last poll I ran didn’t even include my early favorite – the name of this site, Ultrablamtacular! or it’s shortened version, Ultrablam! The results of that poll, including comments on the announcement of said poll at The Forge, convinced me of several things:
- Ultrablamtacular! Is a perfectly viable name for a game, contrary to my initial thoughts
- Ad Infinitum is the better of the two infinity-based names
- I need a bigger polling sample group
With that in mind, I’m introducing The Name of The Game Part II - Electric Revenge! and this time, I’m opening it up to a wider audience. Feel free to send the link to your friends, too.
This is the last poll on this topic, I promise. My heart is sort of set on one of the candidates, but I know that sometimes things a creator feels affection for aren’t the best things, no matter how much affection there is. I was taught this lesson by one particular line in a short comedy we once made. Any guesses which line?

If you’re not sure of the line, I could open a can of Campbell’s.
That should be the next big threat. “I’m goin’ to open up a can o’ Campbell’s on yo ass.” Anyway, insert joke about old soup we didn’t eat here.
Old soup. Hee hee.
