Status Report
This weekend I got a lot done, both on the manuscript and on the non-writing part of making this thing work.
I got all the proofreading-style fixes discovered during and after the last playtest in. Also, sections that were discovered to be confusing, misleading, too complicated, or just plain wrong got smoothed out.
There is another significant wordectomy coming, as I remove notes to myself about particular topics. However, a lot of those notes may eventually make it into the main text section about those topics, which perhaps makes it more of an upcoming wordoplasty.
And though we all know it’s a non-metric, the current word count is 16,795. That’s a mere 667 words more than last time. Which isn’t surprising, I’ve been editing, not writing new material.
