Help me out here
March 27th, 2009
Hello, playtesting-type folks. I’m trying to put together a page on what makes Ultrablamtacular! special. I know it might sound like I’m just fishing for compliments, but really, I’m looking for some help describing Ultrablam! to an audience that’s never played it.
I’ve put the things that I came up with here. If you have anything to add, change, or disagree with, please comment here or drop me an email. Thanks!
- One set of rules supports all genres of play
- Fast, easy character generation without needing to refer to the book for lists of skills, powers, etc..
- Almost no math in chargen or in game (counting is not math)
- Fast-paced play structure means it’s almost always your turn
- Systematized rewards for teamwork
- Systematized rewards for increasing the depth and detail of characters

collaborative setting creation
Also, focus on “Trust” rather than saying “systematized rewards for teamwork.” We’re talking Trust(tm) a wholly owned funzor of UB!
@Jona Kottler
Setting creation, right! Thanks!
Also – “funzor?” – Mine now!
I guess since I stole Tina Fey’s “meert” that’s ok.
